Fredrick Acheampong has successfully maintained his position as an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, following the elective congress held in Tamale.
Known affectionately as “Achee,” this young football administrator garnered the necessary votes to continue his dedicated work as an Exco member. He has gained significant popularity for his active involvement in advancing the sport’s development in Ghana and throughout Africa.
In addition to his role as an Exco member, Fredrick Acheampong serves as a match commissioner for CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup matches, further showcasing his commitment to football in the region.
The ongoing Ghana Football Association election in Tamale also includes the determination of other key positions, with FIFA sending a delegation to closely monitor proceedings.
Earlier in the congress, GFA president Kurt Okraku secured his seat with an impressive 97.1% of the votes, with only two individuals voting against his retention.
