Great Olympics’ head coach, Coach Annor Walker, has shared insights into how his team secured three crucial points against Accra Lions on Monday.
In a Round 5 match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Great Olympics hosted Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium. Olympics scored three early goals within the first 20 minutes, leading them to a comprehensive victory and full marks.
During a post-match interview, Coach Annor Walker revealed that the early goals were a result of training strategies aimed at putting pressure on Accra Lions, and this plan was executed effectively.
He commended his players for their disciplined performance and encouraged them to carry their confidence into the next game.
“The league is not over. I want to express my gratitude to the almighty and congratulate my team and the players for their disciplined football this afternoon.
“We rehearsed in training to put pressure on them so that we score very early in the game, and it worked perfectly for us,” Coach Annor Walker stated in an interview with StarTimes.
Following their victory against Accra Lions on Monday, Great Olympics have ascended to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
