It was chaotic at the Dr. Kwame Sports Complex as fans of Asante Kotoko dismantled seats at the stadium over Nations FC second penalty in the game on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Just minutes after Michael Kyei Dwamena’s beautiful goal in the 94th minute, the celebration of Asante Kotoko fans were cut short after referee Latif Adaari awarded a second penalty in the game for the home side following a series of handballs in the box.
Amidou Diarra who had converted the first penalty scored again when it mattered most to get a point in the game for his team.
The game ended 2-2 on match day 6 of the ongoing 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League fixture between Nations FC and Asante Kotoko.
However, Kotoko fans resulted to the use of violence by vandalizing the properties of the home team which included dismantling most of the seats at the away end.
