Berekum Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory against Samartex FC at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon during matchweek 9 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
The Berekum Blues found the back of the net in the first half, continuing their impressive form from the midweek match where they triumphed with a 2-0 victory over Dreams FC.
Samartex FC, on the other hand, have struggled on the road this season, failing to secure a win in any of their five away games, with just one draw and four losses to their name.
This win propels Berekum Chelsea to the 6th position with 13 points, tied with Samartex, who currently occupy the fourth spot.
Dramani Awuah scored the lone goal for Berekum Chelsea in the 38th minute, allowing them to head into halftime with a lead.
The match concluded with a 1-0 victory in favor of Berekum Chelsea.
Christopher Ennin’s Berekum Chelsea will face champions Medeama as the away team on Sunday, November 12, at the Tarkwa Akoon Park during matchweek 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
Meanwhile, Samartex will host Asante Kotoko at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on the day before.
