Forward Yaw Yeboah, a pivotal player for the Columbus Crew, has enthusiastically expressed his eagerness to don the Black Stars jersey at the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The 26-year-old talent finds himself among the select 55 players on coach Chris Hughton’s provisional list for the tournament, building anticipation for a potential return to international competition.

As the final squad announcement looms on January 3, Yeboah, buoyed by an impressive season in Major League Soccer (MLS), affirms his preparedness to contribute to Ghana’s campaign in the Nations Cup. In a statement to Joy Sports, he declares, “For me, I am always ready. Whenever I have the chance to represent the country, I will make sure I am always ready.” This sentiment underscores Yeboah’s commitment to national duty and the pride he takes in representing his homeland.

Confident in the showcase of his skills on the global stage, Yeboah acknowledges the recognition received, stating, “The world has seen it. Ghanaians have seen it so right now I will get myself ready for whatever happens.” His determination to stay prepared for any opportunity reflects a mindset geared towards making a significant impact for the Black Stars.

In a testament to his recent accomplishments, Yeboah returned to Ghana a week ago adorned with the glory of winning the MLS with the Columbus Crew. The triumph not only adds a prestigious accolade to his name but also underscores his form and prowess as a footballer ready to contribute to the national team’s success.

The midfielder’s unwavering dedication is encapsulated in his words: “I can’t stop. Nothing stops me. I just have to keep playing well, training well, and whatever happens in the future happens.” This resolute attitude signifies Yeboah’s commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to embrace whatever challenges lie ahead, epitomizing the spirit of a determined athlete.

As the anticipation builds for the unveiling of the final squad, Ghanaian football enthusiasts eagerly await the prospect of witnessing Yaw Yeboah’s dynamic contributions in the Black Stars’ quest for glory at the Africa Cup of Nations.
