Iddrisa Gana Gueye has revealed one of the secrets that will send Senegal to the promised land. The Lions of Teranga have won all three group games and have proven to be superior to every opponent they have come across.

Speaking to the press after the 2-0 win over Guinea, one of the experienced members of Aliou Cisse’s squad, Gana Gueye talked about how they are staying humble in the tournament.

“As part of the leaders of this group, we need to continue to stay humble and keep working hard”, said Gana. Senegal is undoubtedly one of the hard-working teams in the tournament so far as they have proven to be warriors from all angles.

“We have a target to achieve and we will stay focused to the end”, Gana Gueye revealed. Aliou Cisse’s Senegal is among the hot favourites to lift the 2023 AFCON as many bookmakers have predicted them to defend the title.

The Lions of Yetanga will learn their opponents for Round 16 tomorrow after the final games have been played.
