The battle of Queens!  Which queen will rule which queen? Black Queens against Copper Queens.  Ghana will play against Zambia in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.

The anticipated fixture will finally kick off on Friday with both sides determined to qualify for Paris.

Ghana has been splendid in the last 12 months under Nora Huptle. Since taking over from Marcy Tagoe, the Swiss manager has won 10 out of the 11 games he has played losing one. Ghana has scored 34 goals and conceded two. It shows the enormous improvement under Huptle.

Nora Huptle and her charges are facing their biggest test in the last 12 months as minnows like Guinea, Benin, Rwanda and Namibia have all been brushed aside easily.

Freda Ayisi is expected to make her debut and transfer the experience she has gained in her life to the youngsters in the Black Queens.

The Copper Queens are a step above the Black Queens as they played in the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

In the WAFCON qualifiers, Zambia annihilated Angola 12 -0 on aggregate. The Copper Queens have been superb after the 2023 World Cup. They will be looking forward to securing favourable results that can help them do the job back home in the second leg.

Zambia has the great Barbara Banda and Rachael Kundananji. The latter is the current most expensive female footballer after signing for Bay FC in the USA from Madrid CFF in Spain.

A crunch clash is expected in Accra on Friday afternoon.
