Heart of Lions and Nsoatreman FC come together on Sunday at the Kpando Stadium with the host looking to ensure their survival in the Ghana Premier League before the end of the season.

The hosts come into this match on the back of two league games without defeat, while the visitors have gone five matches without a defeat.

Lions have had an extremely difficult time on their return to the Ghanaian top-flight, going through two coaches and now fighting for their safety in the top flight.

Veteran coach Bashir Hayford has the herculean task of guiding the side to safety in what has been a tumultuous campaign for the Premier League returnees.

The hosts will aim to continue their resurgence with a win against Nsoatreman FC after they drew 1-1 at Bechem United last weekend.

They also thumped second-placed Nations FC 3-0 in their last home game at the Kpando Stadium.

Heart of Lions have accumulated 29 points from 28 matches and currently sit 17th on the league table, having won 2, drawn 1 and suffered 2 defeats in their last 5 outings. Hearts of Lions have recorded 24 points, scoring 17 and conceding 8 at home. The Kpando based have won their last 2 consecutive home games and kept clean sheets in the process.

Nsoatreman FC sit 5th on the table with 42 points from 28 matches, having won 2 and drawn 3 in their last 5 encounters. Nsoatreman FC have managed to secure 17 points, scoring 12 and conceding 17 goals. Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side have won their last 2 games away from home and ranked as the best away side in this campaign so far.

Hearts of Lions are yet to host Nsoatreman FC at home since returning to the Premier League in the 2023/24 season.

Heart of Lions skipper Ebenezer Abban has netted 6 goals this season and is expected to start the game on Sunday with the likes of Mustapha Yakubu, Ishmael Addo, Bismarck Anim, Christian Boateng, Yaw Danso, Ruben Hennessey, Mohaison Mahmoud, Emmanuel Ofori, Nana Oppong, Akwasi Duah, Abdul Musah and Godfred Asamoah Kwadwo all available.

Nsoatreman FC star Manaf Umar, who has bagged 7 goals so far is available for selection. The likes of Stephan Diyou, Collins Kudjoe, Mohammed Abdul Rahaman, Morrison Anokye, Sadat Mohammed, Bortey Acquaye, Meider Kwabena, Philip Ofori, Eric Osei Bonsu, Walid Neymah Fuseini and Apetorgbor Foster all fit and ready for the game.
