In a thrilling clash in the Egyptian Premier League, Benjamin Bernard Boateng showcased his talent in Al Ittihad’s 2-1 victory against Baladiyat ElMahalla SC on Friday evening.

The Ghanaian midfielder played a pivotal role, providing the crucial assist for Al Ittihad’s second goal, sealing a vital win for his team at the Alexandria Stadium, in front of their passionate home crowd.

Heading into the match, Al Ittihad held a favorable record against Baladiyat ElMahalla SC, with one win and one draw in their previous encounters. Boateng, starting the game, displayed his skills throughout the full 90 minutes, significantly contributing to Al Ittihad’s control of possession and shots.

Al Ittihad broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute when Job Mabululu converted a penalty, firing a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner. However, Baladiyat ElMahalla SC leveled the score at 1-1 in the 63rd minute with an own goal by Hesham Salah, setting up a tense finale.

In the crucial moment, Boateng rose to the occasion, delivering a precise assist for Abdel Ghani Mohamed’s left-footed strike from close range, which nestled into the bottom left corner in the 76th minute. Boateng’s assist ultimately proved decisive as Al Ittihad clinched a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

Boateng’s consistent performances have been instrumental for Al Ittihad this season, featuring in 16 games, netting five goals, and providing two assists in the Egyptian Premier League.
