Accra Hearts of Oak have secured a significant coup in their quest to dominate the Ghana Premier League, as they have agreed a fee with Nations FC for the transfer of prolific striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie.
The 26-year-old forward, who impressed with 11 goals and one assist in 29 league appearances for Legon Cities last season, is set to bolster the Phobians’ attack ahead of the new campaign.
According to Oyerepa journalist and local transfer guru Obed Acheampong, Boateng will undergo a medical and finalize his terms before making the switch to Hearts of Oak.
This development marks a major blow to Asante Kotoko, who were also reportedly interested in signing the talented striker.
Hearts of Oak have been busy strengthening their squad over the off-season, and the signing of Boateng will be a significant addition to their attack.
With his impressive goal-scoring record and physical prowess, he is likely to be an important player for the Phobians as they look to make a strong push for the top honors in the Ghana Premier League.
