Ghanaian winger Samuel Owusu played a pivotal role in OFK Beograd’s 3-1 away victory against FK Napredak in the Serbian Super Liga on Saturday.
In their match-week seven clash at Stadion Mladost in Krusevac, OFK Beograd came from behind to secure the win. Filip Krstic gave FK Napredak a 1-0 lead with a goal shortly before halftime.
However, OFK Beograd turned the game around with a dominant second-half performance. Owusu set up Gleofilo Vlijter for the equalizer in the 61st minute with a precise pass.
Late goals from Aleksandar Palocevic, who converted a penalty, and Slobodan Stanojlovic, who scored in the 90+9 minute, sealed the comeback victory for the Blue and Whites.
Currently, OFK Beograd is positioned fourth in the league standings with 13 points after seven matches. Owusu played 89 minutes of the game, while his compatriot Edmund Addo also completed the full match.
Since joining OFK Beograd on a free transfer this summer, Owusu has made three appearances for the club.
