Former Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has expressed confidence in Ghana’s chances of securing a victory against Nigeria in the first leg of the 2024 CHAN Qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Galaxies will host their West African rivals on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in a crucial playoff clash.
Walker, who guided the team to a memorable victory over Nigeria in the 2022 CHAN playoffs, believes current head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has what it takes to repeat that success.
“What they are doing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence shows they are prepared. I don’t see them losing or even drawing at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday,” Walker told Asempa FM.
“I know that Didi Dramani will secure a win in the first leg before heading to Nigeria for the return fixture,” he added.
The second leg of the playoff is scheduled for a week later in Nigeria. The winner of the two-legged tie will secure a spot in the CHAN tournament, set to take place in East Africa next year.
