”I belong to Jesus” was written in front of Annor’s shirt when he removed his jersey after doubling Nations FC’s lead on the stroke of halftime.

“I belong to Jesus, this is Easter Sunday,” said the Globe TV commentator when describing what was written on the front of Emmanuel Annor’s jersey.

Nafiu Sulemana, who opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a sumptuous curler from the edge of the 18-yard box, set up Emmanuel Annor for Nations FC’s second goal after accurately passing the ball to him. He had just the keeper to beat and calmly slotted it past Frederick Asare. a

The build-up to the goal was so sensational, and Kasim Mingle will be extremely excited with the display of his team.

Annor removed his jersey and a message was written in front of his search. He waxed lyrical about Jesus Christ who was killed because of our sins. Jesus died for us and has risen back.

This is Easter Sunday at Abrankese! Welcome to Nations FC’s world. They are now contending for the Ghana Premier League title in their sophomore season at the top flight of Ghana Football.

It was a fantastic afternoon for Kasim Ocansey Mingle’s side as they had probably their best first half of the season.

With just two points behind the top position, Nations FC were determined to win all three points. It was the fourth time the club had faced the Porcupine Warriors in the league.

They already had recorded two wins and one draw, so they were fully confident of beating the out-of-form Asante Kotoko. It is now three wins in four games and a draw against Asante Kotoko. This is so delicious for the minnows.

Nations FC were without their totem, Razak Simpson due to injury but did not show any sign of missing him.

Easter Sunday was a great day for the club and the fans with Emmanuel Annor advertising how good it feels to belong to Jesus Christ, who has risen from death.

Nations will travel to Berekum Chelsea in week 29 and must replicate the show against Asante Kotoko.

The title race is on with Bibiani Gold Stars being their main challengers. Heart of Lions is now third and could pose a threat to Nations more than Kotoko, who have retrogressed to fourth place.
