Ghanaian teenage sensation Jerry Afriyie has sealed a season-long loan move to newly-promoted Belgian Pro League club RAAL La Louvière from Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah.
The 18-year-old, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most promising young forwards, makes the switch in search of consistent top-flight football after a stellar 2024 campaign that elevated his reputation internationally.
Afriyie impressed with Ghana’s U-20 side, the Black Satellites, before earning a swift call-up to the senior Black Stars, where he made an encouraging start to his international career.
At club level, he enjoyed a productive loan spell with Spanish Segunda División outfit CD Lugo, where his blistering pace, tireless work rate, and clinical finishing stood out. His performances prompted Al-Qadsiah to involve him in their pre-season camp in Europe, but the Saudi outfit has now decided to send him on loan to Belgium to further his development in a highly competitive environment.
