Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has reached a major milestone, making his 200th Swiss Super League appearance for St Gallen in their 1-0 victory over Lugano at the kybunpark last weekend.
The Black Stars shot-stopper played the full match and kept a clean sheet, helping his side secure all three points. Carlo Boukhalfa’s first-half strike proved decisive in the tense Week Six clash.
Ati-Zigi, who joined St Gallen in January 2020, has become a key figure for the club, amassing 39 clean sheets and conceding 294 goals across his 200 league games.
The 27-year-old recently extended his contract until summer 2027, underlining his long-term commitment to the Swiss outfit.
Despite stiff competition for the national team’s number one spot, Ati-Zigi remains the first-choice goalkeeper at club level, and this season he has already made three league appearances, conceding two goals and keeping one clean sheet.
This landmark appearance highlights his consistency and importance to St Gallen as they continue their Super League campaign.
