Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante continued his remarkable form in the English Championship with a brilliant brace that handed Coventry City a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
The Black Stars attacker has now scored eight goals and provided four assists in just eleven league appearances this season, cementing his place as one of the most in-form players in the division.
Thomas-Asante opened the scoring in the 30th minute after connecting with a pass from Ellis Simms, before striking again in the 56th minute — once more assisted by Simms — to complete his double.
Although Portsmouth managed a late consolation through Makenzie Kirk, it wasn’t enough to deny Coventry all three points.
Under the guidance of head coach Frank Lampard, Thomas-Asante has become a key figure in Coventry’s attack, combining speed, finishing, and creativity as the club pushes for Premier League promotion.
