Antoine Semenyo has become the centre of major transfer attention as Liverpool reportedly engages in positive discussions with Bournemouth over a possible January move for the Ghanaian forward.
The in-form Black Stars attacker is expected to attract heavy interest when the winter transfer window opens, with a £65 million release clause in his contract set to become active. Although Bournemouth previously shut the door on a January sale, the clause gives clubs a fresh opportunity to secure his signature.
Semenyo turned down summer interest from top Premier League sides — including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham — to extend his stay with Bournemouth. But with his explosive form this season, several clubs are preparing renewed bids.
Sources indicate that Liverpool has intensified its pursuit, aiming to beat competitors to the 25-year-old’s signature. Talks between the Reds and Bournemouth are said to have been positive, signalling a strong interest from the Merseyside club.
Semenyo has enjoyed a standout campaign so far, recording six goals and three assists in eleven Premier League matches. His brilliant start earned him both Player of the Month and Goal of the Month honours at Bournemouth in August.
With his release clause soon to be activated, the pacey Ghanaian could be heading for a bigger stage as the transfer window approaches.
