Norwich City have announced the signing of 18-year-old Luke Chukwu from St Patrick’s Athletic, competing in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division. The young forward has agreed to a contract until 2028, with the option of an additional year, and will feature across the club’s academy sides, including the Under-21s and Under-18s.
Chukwu, who has also represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level, described his move to Norwich as a major step in his career. “I feel brilliant. It’s a long time coming, but I’m glad the deal is done now and I’m ready to kick on,” he said. He added that he is eager to gain experience, score goals, and provide assists to progress his career.
The signing marks Chukwu’s first foray into English football, with Norwich City aiming to integrate him into their developmental pathway while nurturing his potential for future first-team opportunities. The club’s academy setup will allow him to continue honing his skills and adapting to the demands of professional football in England.
This acquisition strengthens Norwich City’s youth ranks as the club continues to focus on developing young talent through structured academy programs.
