Asante Kotoko SC has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing in their Ghana Premier League match against Bibiani Gold Stars FC.
According to club sources, Kotoko’s management is expected to meet later today to discuss whether the referee’s performance should be officially reported to the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The club believes some decisions during the match did not go in their favour.
Despite their disappointment, Kotoko’s management has decided to pay the players their winning bonus. The decision was taken after leaders of the club became convinced that the team played well and deserved to win the match, but was denied the victory due to what they see as a poor officiating decision.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, club official Sarfo Duku said management felt it was only fair to reward the players for their hard work and strong performance on the pitch.
Kotoko’s move shows support for their players while they continue to seek fair officiating and justice within the league system.
