Ali Mohammed, the centre-back for Hearts of Oak, has carved out a unique reputation as one of the most well-traveled defenders in recent Ghana Premier League history.

Over the past six seasons, he has represented six different clubs, gaining a wealth of experience across various teams and tactical setups.

His journey began with Berekum Arsenal in the 2020/21 season, where he impressed with his composure at the back and ability to read the game. The following season, he moved to FC AshantiGold for 2021/22, further honing his defensive skills while adapting to a new team environment.

For the 2022/23 campaign, Mohammed joined Tamale City, showcasing versatility and leadership at the back. The 2023/24 season saw him feature for Accra Lions, where his performances under pressure drew praise from coaches and supporters alike.

He then spent the 2024/25 season with Vision FC before making his move to the Phobians, Hearts of Oak, for the 2025/26 season. At Hearts, Mohammed’s experience across multiple clubs has been invaluable, helping him read matches, organize the defence, and provide stability in high-pressure situations.

A well-traveled defender with vast league experience, Mohammed combines tactical awareness, aerial strength, and leadership qualities — traits that make him a key figure in Hearts of Oak’s backline. His journey across six clubs in six seasons is a testament to his adaptability and resilience, proving he can consistently deliver at the top level of Ghanaian football.
