Barimah Atuahene, former board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, has expressed deep concern over the club’s struggles in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Atuahene described the Phobians’ current form as alarming, noting that the team has gone three games without a win since their last victory against rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“Hearts of Oak is falling apart, and it is very sad. Didi Dramani is really working hard to help the team, but nothing seems to be working,” he said.
He added that the players’ inability to convert scoring opportunities has been a major factor in the club’s recent poor results. “They miss a lot of chances, and football is all about utilising chances because you might not get another, so it’s sad,” Atuahene emphasized.
Currently, Hearts of Oak sit fourth on the league table, level on 41 points with Aduana FC and five points behind leaders Medeama SC, leaving their title ambitions hanging in the balance.
The club will be looking to turn their fortunes around when they face Heart of Lions on March 22 in Matchday 26, hoping to return to winning ways and revive their campaign in the final stages of the season.
