Former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has expressed his unhappiness with the club’s recent performances since leaving for FC AshGold 04.
“I even spoke to them today, and I was furious. I asked, ‘Why are you doing this? What is going on? Please, push on. Don’t give up. I swear,’” Zito said.
He reflected on his long-standing connection with the club, adding, “At the end of the day, I’m a legend. I’m the vice president of a religious association. I played for this club for over 10 years and won a lot with them. Why should I hate it?”
On coaching changes, Zito noted, “This is not my first time coming to Kotoko and leaving, and I won’t be the last coach. The club has a legacy, and it must be respected.”
Kotoko, under the new coaching setup, has won only one match, drawn one, and lost two in recent games, leaving them fifth on the Ghana Premier League table with 39 points, below the expectations of their fans.
