What an incredible year it is for the Ghanaian and Atletico Madrid’s midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey, as he has earned yet another nomination besides the BBC African player of the year, earlier this year.
Partey, amongst some key African players, have been listed in a CAF 34 man release early Friday morning, to contest for the most coveted CAF African player of the year award,2018.
Sadio Mane (Senegal), Mohammed Salah (Egypt) all of Liverpool, Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal) of Napoli, Riyad Mahrez(Algeria) of Man City, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang(Gabon) of Arsenal are the notable names amongst the list.
The gong will be hosted in Dakar, Senegal come January, 2019.
Mohammed Salah holds the plaque as CAF’s player of the year 2017 after shrugging of competition from team mate Sadio Mane and former Borrussia Dortmund star forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
