Prince Osei Owusu has firmly dismissed reports claiming that members of his family demanded a share of his earnings in exchange for their support if he secured a place in Ghana’s FIFA World Cup squad, describing the allegations as entirely false and misleading.
Reacting to the circulating rumours, the footballer categorically denied suggestions that he would be required to surrender 70% of any earnings, bonuses, or financial rewards received from representing Ghana at the FIFA World Cup.
According to Prince Osei Owusu, neither he nor his family has made such demands, stressing that the reports are fabricated and should not be taken seriously.
He emphasized that the stories currently making rounds on social media and other platforms are nothing more than fake news intended to misinform the public and damage his reputation.
Prince Osei Owusu responds to recent reports: “The claims that people posing as members of my family said I would have to hand over 70% of any earnings or bonuses if I made Ghana’s FIFA World Cup squad are completely false.
“These reports are fake news, and I strongly deny them.I fully reject and distance myself from all false statements, rumours, and misleading claims made in my name or on behalf of my family”, he wrote.
Prince Osei Owusu also made it clear that he completely rejects and dissociates himself from every false statement, rumour, and misleading claim being circulated in his name or allegedly on behalf of his family.
He urged the public, football fans, and the media to disregard the unverified reports and rely only on information released through his official channels or credible sources.
The Ghanaian forward reiterated his commitment to focusing on his football career and representing his country with pride whenever called upon, while appealing for an end to the spread of misinformation surrounding his personal and family affairs.
