Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo has completed his move to Libyan champions Al-Swehly on a three-year contract, with an option to extend the deal for another season.
The 28-year-old has joined the Libyan club as a free agent following his departure from Spanish side Real Oviedo at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Al-Swehly officially unveiled Sibo in a video released by the club, welcoming the Ghana international as he begins a new chapter of his career in North Africa.
His move to Libya follows the collapse of a proposed transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Gençlerbirliği, which broke down during the final stages of negotiations.
Sibo is expected to play an important role for Al-Swehly as the club prepares for its CAF Champions League campaign. The Libyan champions will face Zanzibar-based KVZ in the preliminary round of the competition.
The midfielder joins his new club after representing Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He featured in all four matches played by the Black Stars, accumulating 249 minutes during the tournament.
Sibo started Ghana’s goalless draw against England and also featured in the matches against Panama, Croatia and Colombia.
His arrival is expected to strengthen Al-Swehly’s midfield as the club seeks to make an impact both domestically and on the continental stage.
