United Arab Emirates club Kalba FC has announced the signing of Ghanaian international Benjamin Tetteh for the ongoing campaign.
The former Black Stars striker, who last played for Slovenian side NK Maribor, attracted interest from several clubs across Europe and other countries but opted to seal a move to the Gulf region.
The lanky forward, who is noted for his sleek playing style, has agreed to a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 2028.
The club announced: “Kalba FC have signed Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh from Slovenian side NK Maribor on a permanent two-year contract.”
The 29-year-old centre-forward joined Maribor on a permanent deal from French club FC Metz in 2025, establishing himself as a key member of the team.
The attacker was a standout performer during the 2025/26 campaign, where he netted 12 goals to finish as the top scorer in the Prva Liga.
He leaves the Slovenian club after failing to make an appearance in six matches of the current campaign.
The striker previously spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Maribor from Metz before returning to France at the end of that spell.
Tetteh began his European career with Standard Liege after leaving Ghanaian club Dreams FC. He has also played for Bohemians 1905, Sparta Prague, Yeni Malatyaspor, Hull City and Metz, while winning the Belgian Cup with Standard Liege and the Czech Cup with Sparta Prague.
Tetteh, who rose through all Ghana’s youth national teams, has earned seven caps for the Black Stars and could be in line for selection when Kalba FC travel as guests of Dubai United on Friday, August 28 at 1:55 pm GMT.
Kalba have picked up a point in their two opening games of the season, drawing 2-2 at home to Al Nasr before losing 3-0 away to Al Wasl.
