Ghanaian forward Richmond Gyamfi has joined Norwegian club Egersunds IK on loan from Danish side AGF Aarhus until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old attacker will spend the remainder of the campaign in Norway as he looks to gain regular first-team football and regain his best form.
Gyamfi joined AGF from Hobro IK in July 2024 in a reported €900,000 deal, becoming the most expensive player sale in Hobro’s history. He signed a contract with AGF until June 2029.
However, the Ghanaian has struggled to secure consistent playing time in Aarhus, making only six appearances during the autumn of 2024 before returning to Hobro on loan in January 2025.
He later joined Esbjerg fB on another loan spell in August 2025, but injuries disrupted his progress and limited his involvement.
Before his move to AGF, Gyamfi showed his attacking qualities at Hobro, recording three goals and four assists in 10 senior league appearances.
Capable of playing across the frontline, the Ghanaian forward will hope his spell with Egersunds provides the platform to regain confidence, build match fitness and return to AGF ready to fight for a bigger role.
