Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante played at full throttle as Coventry City produced an impressive performance to thrash Newcastle United, with the striker contributing to the Championship side’s commanding display.
The Ghana international was lively in attack and came close to scoring in the closing stages, striking the post with a low effort from the edge of the penalty area in the 84th minute.
Coventry secured a convincing 4–1 victory, with Jack Rudoni opening the scoring from the penalty spot before Sidiki Chérif, Ellis Simms and Stephen Mfuni added further goals. Sven Botman scored Newcastle’s only goal.
Thomas-Asante also delivered a dangerous cross early in the second half that helped create an opportunity for Chérif, underlining his contribution to Coventry’s attacking display.
