Aduana FC will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host FC AshantiGold 04 at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday, October 18, in a Matchday Seven fixture of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.

The Ogya Boys will enter the encounter determined to recover from a disappointing 1-0 defeat to regional rivals Young Apostles last weekend, a result that brought their three-match winning streak to an end.

Having enjoyed an impressive run before the setback, Aduana will be eager to respond positively in front of their home supporters and maintain their position among the league’s leading sides.

Their home record provides encouragement ahead of Sunday’s contest. Aduana have recorded consecutive victories on home soil following a narrow defeat on the opening day of the season.

The Dormaa-based club have also lost just twice in their last 18 Ghana Premier League home matches, highlighting their consistency at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park.

However, they face a determined FC AshantiGold 04 side that will arrive in Dormaa with renewed confidence after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over FC Samartex in Obuasi last weekend.

The Elephants claimed all three points through a disciplined performance, ending their recent struggles and giving themselves a timely boost ahead of another challenging assignment.

AshantiGold will now seek to build on that victory by securing a positive result against Aduana, although their away form remains a major concern.

After opening their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Port City, the Obuasi-based side suffered consecutive away defeats to Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions.

They will therefore be determined to end that disappointing run and demonstrate greater resilience on the road as they attempt to climb the league table.

Sunday’s encounter carries additional significance because both clubs have collected 10 points from their opening six matches. Aduana occupy sixth place, while AshantiGold sit fifth in the standings.

With both teams separated by just one position, the outcome could have an important impact on their early-season campaigns and their efforts to remain competitive in the upper half of the table.

Aduana will rely on their strong home record and the support of their fans as they seek to return to winning ways, while AshantiGold will hope their victory over Samartex can inspire another positive performance.

The fixture is expected to provide a competitive test for both sides, with Aduana eager to protect their home advantage and AshantiGold seeking to prove they can deliver results away from Obuasi.

A victory for either team would provide valuable momentum as the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season continues.
