José Mourinho boasts an impressive record against Barcelona during his time as Real Madrid manager, having gone unbeaten in six consecutive El Clásico meetings.
The Portuguese tactician recorded four victories and two draws in those six encounters, establishing himself among the few managers in the Spanish giants’ history to achieve such a run against their fiercest rivals.
Mourinho’s record places him alongside legendary Real Madrid coaches Miguel Muñoz and Vicente del Bosque, who also enjoyed unbeaten streaks of at least six consecutive El Clásico matches while in charge of the club.
The unbeaten run was built during the closing stages of Mourinho’s first spell at Real Madrid, between August 2012 and March 2013. His team secured victories in the Spanish Super Cup, La Liga and the Copa del Rey, while also recording two draws against Barcelona.
Mourinho’s achievement is particularly notable because Barcelona were among Real Madrid’s fiercest rivals during his tenure, with the rivalry featuring intense tactical battles and several high-stakes encounters.
Miguel Muñoz holds an outstanding record, having guided Real Madrid to seven consecutive victories over Barcelona between 1962 and 1965. Vicente del Bosque also enjoyed a seven-match unbeaten sequence, recording two wins and five draws between 2001 and 2003.
Mourinho’s record underlines his ability to compete against Barcelona during one of the most intense periods in the history of El Clásico.
