Ghanaian defender Robin Polley will work with a new manager at
ADO Den Haag after Alfons Groenendijk left the club by mutual consent.
Assistant coach Dirk Heesen however, will head the technical team of the club until a new substantive coach is appointed in the coming days.

On Saturday, ADO Den Haag suffered a devastating 4-0 defeat at Heracles Almelo and that appears to have been the final straw for Groenendijk.
The club confirmed on their website on Monday morning that Groenendijk had stood down with immediate effect.
The 55-year-old was appointed as ADO coach back in February 2017 and he guided the club to 11th, 7th and 9th place in the last three seasons.
“I spoke with the trainer on Sunday and indicated that we are still 100 percent behind him,” ADO captain Aaron Meijers told Veronica Inside on Monday.
“We feel guilty, but we respect the choice of the trainer. He said he felt he could not touch us anymore. We certainly did not have that feeling.

“I thought it was important that we make it clear to the trainer that the group would be completely behind him and that we wanted him to stay. After that he decided to leave. That is of course very disappointing. all look in the mirror. ” he added.
Groenendijk explains the rationale behind his resignation by saying: “The performance is poor this season and I did not feel that I could reverse this quickly. It has been possible three times to find the right flow, but it has proved to be very difficult for a trainer to achieve a fourth time at the same club. For the future of ADO The Hague it is therefore good if something happens. A fresh wind, with a different face for the group, can do something with the team. That is why I think this is the right choice, no matter how difficult it is. ”
The club after a poor start to the season, currently sit 17 on the log in the Dutch Eredivisie with only three wins from their opening fifteen games.
Polley, was a member of Ghana’s Black Meteors team that finish fourth in the 2019 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
