Obuasi Ashanti Gold are bent on bringing back their former player Hudu Yakubu for their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.
Hudu, 24, parted ways with Guinean giants AS Horoya last month after two years together and he is currently a free agent.
SPORTSworldGhana.com understands that the “Miners” are interested in signing him as a replacement for Eric Donkor who has already said goodbye to the club.
The talented left-back was very dominant for Horoya playing a total of 13 continental games for the Guinean club scoring one goal and providing one assist.
He featured for Ashanti Gold from 2016 to 2018 before leaving for Togo Sports after which he was signed by Horoya.
Official talks between Ashanti Gold and Hudu are expected to start in the coming days and it could be finalized within the coming days.
He also previously featured for Red Bull Ghana, Heart of Lions as well as Medeama Sporting Club.
