Hearts of Oak tactician, Samuel Boadu has revealed that his team were more determined and dedicated to beat rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in Sunday’s Super clash victory.
According to the former Medeama SC gaffer, his players were keen to play for victory and that contributed to their important win over Asante Kotoko in Accra on Sunday afternoon.
“About this Super Clash encounter, my boys were tactically disciplined. They were eager for a win over our arch rivals Kotoko”, he said.
He further stated that the game against the Porcupine Warriors wasn’t an easy task despite winning on the day.
“It wasn’t an easy match against Asante Kotoko but we managed to get the three maximum points”, he added.
Hearts of Oak have extended their lead on the league log to three points clear following the 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Kotoko ‘reject’ Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored the winner for the Phobians with a superb strike in the second half after a goalless first 45 minutes.
Hearts are now three points above Kotoko going into the last three important games of the season.
