Kwame Opare Addo, the Communications Director for Accra Hearts of Oak has called on the fans and well wishes of the club to remain patient and positive ahead of their Caf Champions League tie against Guinean side, CI Kamsar.
The Phobians suffered a shock defeat in a pre-season friendly match against newly promoted team Accra Lions FC on Sunday afternoon causing a few supporters to start panicking before Sunday’s big game.
The 2020-21 Ghana Premier League Champions will face Guinean side CI Kamsar at the Accra Sports Stadium in a one-off game to be played on Sunday, 19th September for a place in the playoffs spot.
Hearts of Oak have suffered losses in their last two friendly games against Toga Champions Kara and Accra Lions ahead of the Champions League clash with Kamsar but smooth speaking Opare Addo has allayed fears that the team will come well before the game.
“We did not start the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season well but we ended up winning the trophy,” Opare Addo told Asempa FM.
“We know some people would not like us to progress and make an impact but we know what we are doing behind closed doors.
“I will tell the supporters not to panic ahead of the game but we trust these players and I am sure come Sunday, we will the three points.
“We have watched Kamsar and we will be able to match them,” he added.
The communications director for the Rainbow Boys also revealed that the club will soon release the ticket prices for the team.
