English born Ghanaian descent, Eddie Nketiah was on target for Arsenal in their win over Leeds United on Tuesday night.
The forward was one of the many changes made to the starting line-up by manager Mikel Arteta, being handed the starting role at the Emirates.
Nketiah, who had a good first half then went on to increase Arsenal’s lead in the second period of the game having seen the opening 45 minutes end goalless.
The youngster reacted quickest to a defensive error by the Leeds defence before lobbing the ball over Illan Meslier in goal for the away side.
Prior to his goal, Calum Chambers came off the bench to score the game’s opener in the 55th minute before the Ghanaian added the second of the game 14 minutes later.
The game ended 2-0 in favor of the Gunners who now progress to the next stage of the Carabao Cup.
