On Thursday, Ghana’s Amputee Football team, Black Challenge, secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Amputee African Cup of Nations (AAFCON) in Cairo, Egypt, with an impressive 4-1 victory over Tanzania.
The defending champions maintained their formidable performance, having previously defeated Gambia, Algeria, and Kenya to reach the quarter-finals.
Goals from Yussif Yahaya and Hamza Mohammed, each scoring twice, sealed the win for the two-time champions.
Ghana will face Algeria in the semi-final on Saturday, May 25, 2024, as they seek to defend the title with back-to-back wins.
The Black Challenge have won the last two editions of the Amputee Africa Cup of Nations.
