Ghana international Abdul Fatawu has expressed excitement about joining Ipswich Town after completing a permanent move from Leicester City on a five-year contract.
The 22-year-old winger said he was proud to become a player of the Premier League club and was attracted by the ambition being shown by the team ahead of the new season.
Fatawu said he was looking forward to being part of the club’s plans as they prepare for life in the Premier League. He explained that discussions with manager Gary O’Neil helped him understand the expectations at the club and increased his enthusiasm about starting a new chapter in his career.
In his words, “I am proud to have signed for Ipswich Town. The ambition the club has is very exciting and I’m looking forward to being a part of that as we prepare for the Premier League season. After speaking to the manager, I know what the expectation is and I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and starting work.”
