Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has shared his thoughts on the intensity of the English Premier League following his debut for Leicester City, describing it as “more intense” than the Championship.
The 20-year-old, who made a significant impact in the Championship last season with involvement in 19 goals, recently secured a five-year permanent deal with Leicester City after transferring from Sporting CP.
Issahaku made his Premier League debut on Monday night, where he immediately made his presence felt by assisting Jamie Vardy’s goal. His contribution was crucial in helping Leicester City earn a valuable point in their match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Reflecting on his debut, Issahaku said, “It was a great feeling and it is great to take a point out of it. I am so happy, it is a dream come true for me.”
Discussing the differences between the leagues, he added, “There is a difference in the Premier League because it is more intense and more running. You have to keep on coping up with the team. There are differences but we keep going.”
As Leicester City prepares for their next match against Fulham at Craven Cottage, Issahaku is eager to continue gaining experience and making his mark in the Premier League.
