Abigail Kofi Kim has reportedly withdrawn from the camp of the Ghana women’s national football team in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup due to medical concerns.

The forward is said to have stepped away from the squad as a precautionary measure after experiencing health-related issues during preparations for the tournament. Sources indicate that the decision was taken in consultation with the team’s medical staff to prioritise her well-being before competitive action begins.

Her absence comes as a setback for the Black Queens, who were counting on her attacking quality and experience as they fine-tune strategies for the Pink Ladies Cup. Abigail Kofi Kim has grown into an important figure in the national setup, known for her pace, direct style of play and eye for goal.

At club level, she has been impressive in recent seasons, consistently contributing goals and assists for her side. Her sharp movement in the final third, ability to take on defenders and composure in front of goal have made her one of the standout Ghanaian forwards abroad.

Her performances have not only boosted her club’s attacking output but have also strengthened her case for regular national team call-ups.

On the international stage, Abigail Kofi Kim has delivered notable displays for Ghana, featuring in key qualifiers and friendly matches. She has been instrumental in stretching opposing defences with her speed and has chipped in with crucial goals during competitive fixtures. Her work rate and commitment on the pitch have earned her praise from technical handlers and fans alike.

The timing of her departure from camp is unfortunate, especially as the Black Queens aim to use the Pink Ladies Cup as a platform to build cohesion and test combinations ahead of future major competitions. However, team officials are believed to be taking a cautious approach, ensuring that the forward fully recovers before returning to action.

While the technical team will now have to adjust their plans in her absence, attention remains focused on her health and recovery. Supporters will be hoping that the medical issue is minor and that Abigail Kofi Kim will soon return stronger to continue her impressive run of form for both club and country.
