Aduana Stars head coach, Yaw Acheampong, has expressed his determination to secure a crucial victory against Asante Kotoko in their upcoming Ghana Premier League match.
The Fire Boys will host Kotoko at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on matchday 12 in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter.
Asante Kotoko, currently struggling in the league, are winless in their last five matches and will be desperate to turn their fortunes around. However, Yaw Acheampong is resolute about deepening Kotoko’s woes.
In an interview with the club’s media, he emphasized the importance of preparation and mindset for this clash. “You need players with character to play Asante Kotoko. The game won’t be easy. We are not joking with this match. We know the task ahead and are preparing for it,” he said.
Acheampong also reflected on their past success against Kotoko in Dormaa and called for a repeat performance. “We are doing our best and encouraging our boys for this big game. Last season, we were able to beat them in Dormaa. This season too, we have to beat them,” he added.
Kotoko currently sits 8th on the league table with 15 points, while Aduana Stars find themselves in 12th place with 12 points. A win for either side could significantly boost their standing in the league.
