Aduana Stars’ prolific striker Isaac Mintah is on the brink of completing a transfer to Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian forward is scheduled to travel to Libya on Saturday to undergo a medical examination, with the transfer expected to be finalized on the same day pending a successful medical assessment.
Al Ahli Tripoli recently reached an agreement with Aduana Stars for Mintah’s transfer, although the specific financial details remain undisclosed according to our sources.
Mintah has been in scintillating form in the Ghana Premier League this season, leading the scoring charts with 9 goals and contributing three assists in just 11 matches during the first round.
Since joining Aduana Stars from New Edubiase United FC in August 2022, Mintah has showcased his attacking prowess, tallying an impressive 17 goals in 38 appearances in the Ghanaian top division.
Despite missing out on selection for Ghana’s squad at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, Mintah’s talent and potential have attracted interest from abroad, culminating in his imminent move to Al Ahli Tripoli.
Upon completing his transfer, Mintah will join the ranks of Richard Boadu and Jonathan Sowah as the latest Ghana Premier League players to make the move to the Libyan League in the 2023-24 season.
