Head coach of the Gabon Senior national team, Patrice Neveu has labeled Group C of the 2022 AFCON as tough.
The Central African country will battle four time AFCON champions Ghana, the Atlas Lions of Morocco, as well as debutantes Comoros in Group C and the French coach is hopeful of a second round berth though he stressed tgar the group is not easy.
“The goal is to get out of the squad even if it looks difficult. It’s up to us to be solid on the ground to get results.”Neveu told RFI
“These will be matches where you have to be patient. It will be played on narrow scores. It’s a solid group, but we are part of the good teams ”
Gabon have never made it past the quarter finals of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
