Cameroon Football Federation and Manchester United have reached an agreement on goalkeeper Andrea Onana’s date to join the Indomitable Lions in Ivory Coast.
Rigobert Song named Andre Onana among Cameroon’s final squad for the 2023 AFCON hence he was supposed to join the Indomitable Lions at least a week before the tournament but now will be in Ivory Coast a day after the opening game of the tournament.
Manchester United will play against Tottenham Hotspurs in Week 21 of the Premier League on 14th January as Andre Onana is expected to start for the Red Devils in that fixture.
According to the Athletic, Onana will leave England after the Man Utd v Spurs crunch clash.
Cameroon will open their AFCON campaign against Guinea on Monday, January 15th at 2 pm. Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspurs will be played at 4:30 pm a day before the Cameroon opener which means Onana will have less than 24 hours to prepare for the Guinea game.
