Cameroon head coach Rigobert Song has spoken some positive words about the Algeria national team and their coach Djamel Belmadi following the failure of the Fennecs to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

Lyon attacker Karl Toko Ekambi scored a 120th minute winner for Cameroon to book their ticket to Qatar 2022 as the Indomitable Lions won 2-1 against the 2019 Champions of Africa.

“I would like to congratulate this Algerian team and his trainer Djamel Belmadi who has done a great job. This team deserves a lot of encouragement and time for the future,” said the coach of the Indomitable Lions as reported by Onzemondial.

“When Algeria scored, we felt here that everyone thought that it was done. But my players understood that nothing was over. We did not weaken in our attention. The Algerians lost their reflexes. We were able to take advantage of it and score.” he added.
