The Black Meteors of Ghana played out a 1-1 against the Pharaohs of Egypt in a friendly game ahead of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco.
The Black Meteors are in Egypt, continuing their preparations for the tournament’s commencement, and met the Pharaohs in a test game on Thursday afternoon.
Daniel Afriyie Barnie scored from the penalty spot for the Black Meteors inside the first ten minutes. After Abdul Fatwu Issahaku was hauled down in the box, the captain went up to take the penalty kick.

The o shot-stopper was at fault in the 39th minute for the Egyptians’ equaliser as he overhit a pass to a teammate which was intercepted by the opposition.
Ghana was reduced to ten men for a reckless challenge shortly later.
Zubairu Ibrahim was issued a straight red card and was dissatisfied with his tackle, but that also summed up Ibrahim Tanko’s side’s effort, with the game concluding 1-1 after 45 minutes.
There was no goal in the second half with the game ending 1-1.
