Hearts of Oak have confirmed the capture of six new players – including Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako – onto their first team ahead of the 2021/22 season but the local manager of Benjamin Afutu believes his client remains the most powerful midfielder at the club.
“If you look at the new players who have been signed by the club it is only Salim that plays in the same role as Afutu but we all know that in terms of power, energy in midfield, it is Afutu” he said.
“How de dominates the midfield makes his unique at the club” he added.
Hearts of Oak also signed Benjamin Yorke, Suraj Seidu, former Medeama winger Isaac Agyenim Boateng and Enock Asubonteng from WAFA.
