Al Ahly’s midfield has been rocked with the horrible news that Aliou Dieng is set to be out for more than 10 weeks.
Aliuo Dieng had a successful surgery in Austria on Tuesday and Al Ahly has officially confirmed that the Malian midfielder will miss almost three months.
The central midfielder who picked up a knee injury 3 weeks ago has missed Al Ahly’a’s last 3 CAF Champions League games against Belouizdad, Medeama and Yanga.

The 26-year-old is expected to miss Al Ahly’s quest for their 12th CAF Champions League title games which will begin at the end of March.
Dieng’s absence is a big blow to the Red Devils as he is a cog in Marcel Koller’s midfield.
