Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson is impressed with the progress of Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo sat in the EFL Championship.
Semenyo has been impressive this season in the English Championship and has been tipped as the next star to hit English Football.
His outstanding display for Bristol City, has won him the January SKY Bet Championship Player of the month.
Speaking after the striker was announced winner of the January player of the month, Pearson said: “Antoine has made great progress and a real contribution to the collective effort. Everyone at the club is proud of him for winning this award.
“He is a real threat with his power and pace – he must be a nightmare to play against! His challenge now is to keep developing and adding elements to his game to make him even more effective.”
Meanwhile, Semenyo, 22, has declared his readiness to play for the Black Stars in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup play-offs against Nigeria next month.
The speedster has scored five goals and provided six assists for Bristol City this campaign.
