Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Bofoakwa Tano to sign forward Saaka Dauda, bringing an end to a lengthy transfer saga.

The talented forward has been on the radar of the Porcupines since the end of the 2023/24 season, where he shone for the relegated Bofoakwa Tano.

The final documents have now been exchanged between Bofoakwa Tano and Asante Kotoko, paving the way for Saaka to move to Kumasi to undergo his medical examination.

Should he pass his medical, Saaka will pen a three-year deal with the Porcupines, becoming their sixth signing in the transfer window.

This move is expected to boost Kotoko’s attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

In other news, Kotoko recently defeated Hearts of Oak in the inaugural Democracy Cup on Wednesday and will travel to the USA later this year to face MLS side DC United in Washington.
