Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has asserted that his side won’t be an easy opponent when they meet Asante Kotoko in a crucial Ghana Premier League clash.
The Abrankese-based club faces the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in a high-stakes matchday 11 encounter.
Nations FC has shown strong form this season, claiming five wins, four draws, and only one loss across their first 10 games. Currently, they sit second in the league standings with 19 points, just one point shy of league leaders Bibiani Goldstars.
Despite acknowledging the challenge ahead, Mingle is confident his team will give Kotoko a formidable contest.
“Asante Kotoko are our senior brothers, but on the field, seniority won’t matter,” Mingle stated. “The team that plays well and has luck on its side will carry the day. The pitch will decide.”
He anticipates a fiercely competitive match, noting Kotoko’s motivation to deliver a win for their fans. “They’ll come out strong, looking to secure a victory, but we won’t be pushovers. It will be a tough game,” Mingle added.
With the top of the table in sight, Nations FC will aim to make a strong statement against one of the league’s giants as they push for a successful season.
